Sacopee Midwives is now offering our clients the option to deliver at The Birth House in Bridgton!
The Birth House is a great option for families that would like to receive midwifery care outside of the hospital, but do not wish to give birth in their own homes.
The Birth House is a free-standing birth center with a cozy home-like environment, including a beautiful birth pool, birthing suite, and the use of a kitchen and lounge area.
We will give you a tour during your consultation, and at least one of your prenatal visits will be a team meeting at The Birth House, where we invite anyone who will be attending the birth to come and see the space. Clients that choose to birth at The Birth House receive the same individualized midwifery care as home birth clients, and most prenatal visits are still scheduled at our Limington office, but you’ll deliver your baby in a welcoming birth house environment. Like all of our clients, you’ll receive at least two postpartum home visits so you can prioritize rest and recovery after your birth.
The facility fee for The Birth House is $600, and is separate from our midwifery care fee.
